Gold There Is, But Where Is Knowledge?
With everything going on, and going wrong in the world right now, it can be tough to see God on the move and making a way in these trying circumstances.
Even before the Coronavirus outbreak, some of us have experienced a life that feels like it has been refunded, cancelled, locked out, locked down, and shut down - an epidemic of unfortunate events that has no plausible cure; because as you know, and have been reading… life happens.
What do we do when we feel like we are living a ‘let down’ kinda life?
Similar to this pandemic that has crippled nations around the world, digging for more knowledge and understanding of the mere thing causing disappointment and despair will point us to a better Solution.
We all want to see a world without Covid-19. We have the knowledge of washing our hands, not touching our face, and practicing social distancing. Why? Because we have understanding of proactive measures to reduce harmful bacteria and viruses which therefore protect / combat ourselves against these types of threats.
What if we approached the Word of God the same way? Most of us are trying to find our way out of bad situations without the knowledge on how to handle them, and in turn we suffer tremendously because of it. We do things, think about things, and pursue things that are not parallel with God and His way. We wait patiently for a good outcome only to find ourselves in the same position over and over again. As you dig deeper into the Word of God and search for HIS knowledge, situations will appear more clearly. Delayed doesn’t mean denied. The Lord has been and will continue to be patient with us, but we do have a part to play in order to see the promises He has for us. Friends, it’s time to step up and wake up. Friends, it’s time to get understanding about what is happening to us, against us, and around us.
Proverbs 18:15 says,
“The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.”
Let’s keep ourselves accountable and invest time in the things that really matter. We have an obligation to seek this out as mentioned in the above verse. As you comb through the Word of God, we encourage you to understand even the importance of culture during that particular time, as these ancient writings still resonate in contemporary life and never have an expiry date.
As this season of social distancing becomes a daily reality, ironically, we can draw closer to the One that gives abundant knowledge and breakthrough in these times and beyond.
And so, we leave you with this Word,
“Gold there is, and rubies in abundance, but lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel,” (Proverbs 20:15).
